July 17-21| Acting For Camera Camp

9am-12pm @ Saratoga Independent School [Ages 12-17]

Acting for Camera Camp is a brand new program designed for middle school and high school students who have an interest in acting for movies, TV, or commercials.

This one week intensive class will explore finding camera confidence, building your character, stage vs. film acting, body language and visual story telling, and screenplay interpretation.

In this workshop environment, students will engage in a new exercise and project each day. Students who complete the camp will be invited to participate and perform in film projects produced by SFA students in August.

Instructor, Matt Reichel, is the newest member of The Saratoga Film Academy team.  He is a recent graduate of Washington and Lee University where he studied both theater and film.  He has been involved in a number of theater and film productions and has experience leading theater education programs for middle school and high school programs.  He was the Theater Teacher for Lylburn Downing Middle School in Lexington, Virginia, and also was a camp counselor for Proctors Theater’s summer camp for high school students.  Matt has a passion for film and has been writing and directing his own films.  He is excited to share his passion with young aspiring film actors.
