Camera Basics is a six week course that focuses on developing camera skills. 3rd-5th grade students will engage in hands-on video production projects designed to encourage their growth and understanding of camera skills. Students will work in teams to produce 2-3 video projects in the course of 6 weeks.
Visual Storytelling is a six week course that focuses on the basics of storytelling (screenwriting elementsapplied). 3rd-5th grade students will engage in hands-on video production projects that forces them to use their creativity to solve problems and to develop a better understanding for writing narratives. Students will also develop outlines for a short-film to be produced in the next session.
Short-Film Production is a six week course that provides students with the opportunity to produce individual short films. Each student will use an outline developed from last session, or create a brand new outline for an original narrative to produce a film. The class will work as a team to help each student or pairs of students produce their films.
Digital Editing is a six week course that focuses on video editing. The students will spend class time editing their short-films from last session. They will learn and practice specific editing techniques throughout the session through a series of editing exercises we will perform. They will have the option to apply the techniques to their short films.
