GRADE SCHOOL (Ages 8-10)

CAMERA BASICS
Monday’s 4pm-6pm

Camera Basics is a six course designed to teach students how to use a camera as a communication and storytelling tool.  3rd-5th grade students will engage in a hands-on experience producing a series of projects that reinforce the skills and techniques used in contemporary digital filmmaking.

VISUAL STORYTELLING I 
Monday’s 4pm-6pm
Location: Saratoga Independent School

Visual Storytelling I is a six week course that focuses on the basics of storytelling through video. 3rd-5th grade students will engage in a hands-on experience producing a series of projects that encourage the development of their own creative writing.

APR. 9 – MAY 14
VISUAL STORYTELLING II 
Monday’s 4pm-6pm
Location: Saratoga Independent School

Visual Storytelling II is a six week course that focuses on the narrative elements of storytelling through video. 3rd-5th grade students produce a series of projects that encourage the development of narrative structure, tone, genre, character, and artistic voice.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Ages 11-13)

DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION

Digital Video Production for middle school students is designed to provide training for students to produce videos for a variety of media platforms and outlets such as the internet, television, or movies.  The program is divided into four, 6 week sessions, each with a different focus.

Students have the option to enroll in single sessions or multiple sessions. Students who enroll in single sessions will gain an understanding for the skills that apply to that particular media platform, while students who enroll in all four sessions will gain a broader understanding for the different media platforms, the connections between them, and the transfer of skills that can be applied.

HIGH SCHOOL (Ages 14-18)

Locations: Online Mentoring, Saratoga Independent School, and various off-campus locations for filming.

This full year course provides high school students with a professional filmmaking experience intended for students interested in furthering their filmmaking education and career.
